Oxford Irish

1st Game 2-0 Won

Team: Kieron Massingham, Tate Rogers, Tremayne Barrett, Lester Davies, Leyton Brandon, Lochie Craig (Thomas Dunning 20 mins), Ross McMahon. Sub Thomas Dunning.

Oxford City Colts started much brighter than on their midweek game and worked really hard to keep their three match unbeaten run going, we passed the ball better and didn't stand and watch today, Ross McMahon opened the scoring early on when ended a great passing team move with a neat piece of skill round the goalie and then finishing, Leyton Brandon added another goal in the second half with a strong finish from inside the box after a cross from Ross McMahon, Oxford City hit the post three times and also the crossbar with a well earned win.

2nd Game 3-2 Won

Team: Robbie Morton (Jordan Lawson HT), Millie Hankinson, Thomas Van Gucci, Cameron Innes, Cameron Gray (James Rule HT), Jordan Lawson (Robbie Morton HT), Joseph Hastings (Joseph Dunning 20mins)
Subs James Rule, Joseph Dunning.

This game saw Oxford City Colts under pressure from the off but we managing to go 2-0 up after Oxford Irish failed to take their chances with Cameron Innes scoring both, one a free kick and another a long range lob after Cameron Gray had held the ball up well and then passed back. Oxford Irish pulled one back before Joseph Hastings pounced on a short goal kick and then rounded the goalie to score, Oxford Irish then replied with a penalty for handball.

Well done everyone and keep up the unbeaten run, 12 points from four games.

Summertown - away

1st Game 2-2 Draw

Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Leyton Brandon,Lester Davies,Joesph Hastings,Lochie Craig.

This game started with Summertown having a lot of the play and we were happy to watch, We slowly came back into the game and Lochie Craig struck a shot from wide left which found the bottom of the goal through a crowded penalty box, We then conceded,HT score 1-1 then after the break Leyton Brandon pounced on a ball and lifted the ball over the stranded goalie from just inside the oppositions half 2-1 then we conceded again, Final score 2-2.

2nd Game 1-2 Won

Team:Jordan Lawson,Millie Hankinson,Thomas Van Gucci,Cameron Innes,Malcolm Blinder (HT, James Rule),Robbie Morton,Cameron Gray.

This game started well with a Cameron Gray unselfishly passing to Robbie Morton to score after a great team passing move, We again conceded, this game was now beginning to follow the same pattern of going in front and conceding, HT 1-1, Late in the second half Robbie Morton arrived late in the box from a Cameron Innes corner to volley in and rescue the result when a draw was favorite.

Overall result 3-4 win but we were lucky and Summertown will feel they deserved more, we will need to be back to our best to continue to compete in the top three.

I don't think midweek games suit us and hopefully, no more midweek games this season !.

Didcot Boys Emeralds

1st Game Didcot Boys Emeralds 0 Oxford City Colts 5

Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Lester Davies,Lochie Craig,Leyton Brandon.

The lads started much quicker this week and just need games under their belts, the effort was at a level we expect and the lads looked confident again, We held most of the possession during the whole match, the lads relaxed and played some neat football after the first goal went in. 0-2 HT score, Two well taken goals by Leyton Brandon.
In the second half Tremayne Barrett added two goals and Lochie Craig scoring to take his goal tally to 4 goals in two games.

2nd Game DidcotBoys Emeralds 0 Oxford City Colts 1

This game was a real test for both sets of players, a real battle and with a half time score of 0-0 and either side capable of taking the lead and both missing chances, the players knew they were all in a game, the players had a well earned rest at half time on a lovely warm morning and went out again in the second half with more effort, the deciding goal coming from Joesph Hastings with a great finish after a spell of pressure on the Didcot goal, Great saves all morning from all the brave Didcot Goalies had kept the scoreline down.

3rd Friendly Game DidcotBoys Emeralds 2 Oxford City Colts 2

Team:Kieron Massingham,James Rule,Robbie Morton,Joesph Dunning,Thomas Dunning,Cameron Gray,Malcolm Blinder.Subs Rolling on and off Thomas Van Gucci, Tremayne Barrett, Ross McMahon,Lochie Craig,Joesph Hastings

Afterwards we played a friendly game to ensure everyone had played at least a full game of football this morning, The game ended 2-2 with Robbie Morton and Tremayne Barrett pulling back a 2-0 down at half time scoreline.

After a slow start last week the Players this week showed what great determination and belief they have as a team to correct last week from our usually high standards of effort and football.

Well done lads and keep the effort up and most of all keep enjoying your football.

Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Lester Davies,Joesph Hastings(Thomas Dunning 20mins),Leyton Brandon. Subs Joesph Dunning,Thomas Dunning.

This game started at a terrific pace and continued through out the game with St Edmunds constantly pressing and putting a rustly looking and lack of match practise Oxford City Colts side under a lot of pressure, the OCC defense and Goalkeeper were kept busy with the constant pressure and dealt with a lot, St Edmunds opened the scoring after long periods of possession 0-1 HT score.
In the second half OCC equalized from a corner, headed home by Tremayne Barrett from a Ross McMahon corner but straight away St Edmunds hit back with the winner also a header from a corner.

Team:Jordan Lawson(Robbie Morton 15mins)Millie Hankinson,Thomas Van Gucci,Cameron Innes,Cameron Gray(Malcolm Blinder 20mins),Robbie Morton(Jordan Lawson 15mins)Subs James Rule,Jamie Smith.

After Oxford City Colts went behind to an early goal in the first half and now being 1-3 down with the two team scoreline the writing was on the wall, but the players kept on going and replied with a goal from Cameron Gray and a well taken hat trick by Lochie Craig to seal the win when a overall draw looked more likely at halftime.

Afterwards we played a friendly game to ensure everyone had played at least a full game of football this morning, The game ended 1-1 with Thomas Dunning equalizing in the second half.

Team:Kieron Massingham,James Rule,Chloe Holden,Joesph Dunning,Thomas Dunning,Jamie Smith,Malcolm Blinder(Joesph Hastings 10mins).

After a very slow start and obvious lack of match practise, the lads showed great character and team spirit to come away with all three points when under pressure.

Thanks to Tony Rogers for reffing the first two games and Martin McMahon for reffing the third friendly game.

Thanks also to Tony Rogers,Paul Hankinson and Steve Morton for helping me put the goals up this morning.

Well done lads and keep enjoying it.
