1st Game Won 2-0

Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Lester Davies,Lochie Craig,Leyton Brandon. Subs Joesph Hastings,Malcolm Blinder (Both on at Half time).

This game started quickly but we could have worked just a little bit harder in the first half, but it was difficult in the windy conditions and the players corrected this during the game, the players are gelling well as a team now and are all, much more aware of other players from both sides around them,we scored very early through a great left foot top corner drive from Ross McMahon to settle us down, Malcolm Blinder added a neat finish to a well worked goal in the second half.

2nd Game Won 2-0

Team:Jordan Lawson,Millie Hankinson,Thomas Van Gucci,Cameron Innes,Cameron Gray,Jamie Smith,Robbie Morton. Subs James Rule,Ben Smith,James Oliver.

We contested every ball and tackle in this game as they always do, we asked them for a clean sheet in both games this morning and the players from both teams didn't disappoint. Many chances were created but a well taken low drive by Robbie Morton and a well executed freekick from Cameron Innes completed the scoreline.

Two great games this morning in very windy conditions.

Overall Scoreline for Two team League 4-0 win.

Grove

Posted by Rob Tutton on October 27, 2007, 6:13 pm

Today saw the only two teams in the Red league with 100% records intact from the 7 games we have played and the 6 games Grove had played.....

1st Game Oxford City Colts 3 Grove 0

Team:Kieron Massingham,Tate Rogers,Tremayne Barrett,Ross McMahon,Lester Davies,Lochie Craig,Leyton Brandon.

This game started with great effort and hard work, and great postional sense as a team, we scored late in the first half after prolonged periods of pressure on the Grove goal, Ross McMahon scoring with a long range effort the goalie couldn't hold,we constantly pressed and created chances but also defended well against what was thrown at us as a team.

2nd Game Oxford City Colts 0 Grove 0

Team:Jordan Lawson,Millie Hankinson,Thomas Van Gucci,Cameron Innes,Malcolm Blinder,Cameron Gray(Jamie Smith 20mins),Ben Smith.(James Rule 20mins) Subs James Rule ,Jamie Smith.

We contested every ball and tackle, we set out for a clean sheet in both games this morning and the players from both teams didn't disappoint.Chances created were very few for both sides in this game but either side could have pinched one. This game saw the two sides cancel each other out and was a pretty even match.

Two great games for any neutral watching and both sides didn't disappoint as the quality of football was of a very high standard for this age group.

Overall Scoreline for Two team League 3-0 win.

Thanks to Tony Rogers for reffing the two games this morning and helping me set up this morning.

Well done to all the players, keep enjoying it, and keep up all your hard work.
