Kidlington

After last weeks disappointing 4-0 defeat in the semi final of the league cup and the result from our last league match from a usually confident and great bunch of players who have been very consistent for two years, they showed great character and got back to winning ways and reacted exactly how we know they can play, with great energy, great passing and moving patterns of play and some great finished goals in three highly entertaining games.

First Game Kidlington 0 OCC 2

Team:Kieron Massingham,Joesph Hastings,Tremayne Barrett,Leyton Brandon,Lester Davies,Jamie Smith,Malcolm Blinder,James Rule.

This game started with OCC constantly attacking and failing to take a flurry of chances that came in the first five minutes, with a lot of pressure on the Kidlington goal, Kidlington looked dangerous from corners. Tremanye Barrett scored two goals from long range.

Second Game Kidlington 3 OCC 2

Team:Tate Rogers,Millie Hankinson,Cameron Innes,Thomas Van Gucci,Robbie Morton,Ross McMahon,Lochie Craig,Ben Smith,James Oliver,Cameron Gray.

This game was like a see saw all the way through with good tackling, passion and pride shown from both sides,a fine long range freekick from just inside the oppositions half from Cameron Innes after being tripped, and a great solo run from his own half and finish in the top corner from Ross McMahon sealed the overall win, Kidlington staged a late comeback in the last five minutes but resolute defending kept the win intact.

Third Game 1-1

Team:Tremayne Barrett(Thomas Van Gucci)Kieron Massingham(Tate Rogers)Cameron Gray,James Rule,Ben Smith,Jordan,James Oliver.Half time changes in brackets

Kidlington took the lead before Jordan allowed us to draw level, this game allowed all the goalies to have a game and make sure that all the players played 30 minutes of football.

A great result against the cup finalists on a very windy morning and three great games of football enjoyed by everyone this morning.

Well done everyone you all worked hard and most of all enjoyed it.

Littlemore

OCC 6 Littlemore 1

First game 4-0

A fantastic all round performance with all players holding their positions and having great positional sense at such a young age (Well done) while also playing neat attractive passing football, great passing football was being played by both sides, and with strong resolute defending giving us a strong starting point, A brilliant and well taken hat trick from Leyton Brandon and a thunderous strike after a fine passing move by Lochie Craig finished the scoreline.

Second game OCC 2-1

Both teams started a bit cagey and very few chances were created, and much of the game was contested in the middle of the park, again a good passing game with great energy and commitment from both sides. Two long range lobs from Cameron Innes secured the win in this match, We conceded a goal after we lost our shape and positional sense as a team, as we seemed to charged forward looking for a goal and got caught out.

Third Friendly Game OCC 0 Littlemore 3

Everybody who stayed enjoyed a friendly game, With all our players playing in different playing positions to their usual strong and favored postions.Goalies on pitch, and Strikers/Midfielders in Defense and Defenders up front, And also Players who have never played in goal having a go.

Well done to everyone this morning for their effort, and for listening and using instructions and information given to them.

Remember no training Wednesday night as Bayard School is shut for Half term, Have a relaxing Half term and we will see you all at Littlemore Away @ 10.00am next Saturday morning.Littlemore play at the old Cowley airfield which is accessible from Barns Road between Cowley and Blackbird Leys Road or Herschel Crescent or turn off the bypass for Peers School and follow Road back to Blackbird Leys and turn left and left again immediately after the bridge as the pitch is located along side the bypass opposite Sandy Lane pitches.
